Jaroslav Silhavy remains the Czech football coach.
His contract was extended until the end of the qualification phase for the European Football Championship in Germany in 2024, as the National Association Facr announced in Prague on Monday.
If the Czech Republic secures participation, the contract automatically applies to the last European Championship game.
Silhavy has been the team with the Bohemian lion on the jersey for three and a half years.
“I think I don’t have to be ashamed of the results,” said the 60-year-old.
He was last under pressure after Sweden beat Czech Republic in the semi-finals of the playoffs in the fight for the World Cup participation 1-0.
